The Easter Experience
March 27th, 2010 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Ever wonder what it was like to be the first ones to see the empty tomb? Ever wonder what the Disciples of Jesus were thinking on that first Easter morning? The Easter Experience is a trip back in time that will bring you all the way back to daybreak of that wonderful day that Jesus rose from the dead. You will see the empty tomb. You will walk and talk with the Apostles. You will hear an angel explain the good news that Jesus is no longer dead, but alive!
But there is more than just this experience. Pastor Joel will provide a special message explaining what Easter is all about. We will sing songs celebrating what wonderful news this is. You will be able to make some unique Easter crafts if you like. And there will be an Easter Egg Hunt as well.
While this event is geared towards children who are 4-10 years old, everyone is invited to attend. You will be taken through the "experience" in groups of about 6-8 people. Each group will see the reenactment of Easter Morning, followed by the message from Pastor Joel and some songs and will conclude with the Easter Egg Hunt. Each "experience" lasts about thirty minutes and a new one will start every fifteen minutes. In between the start times you will be able to make some Easter crafts and enjoy some beverages. Even if you don’t get your crafts done, you can always come back to them afterwards! Feel free to stay as long as you like!
